Indigo
At Maradadi Textiles, we strive to be as ethically and environmentally responsible as possible.
We purchase natural indigo grown and processed in India directly from the growers. The indigo is grown, harvested, and processed by hand by the local women ensuring that their culture is strong and they benefit from their labor. We use food-grade fructose as the reducing agent and the highest-quality hydrated lime as the alkaline component. Put together this creates a strong indigo vat giving beautiful blues.
